Chateau Noaillac Medoc 2015
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Medoc|
Wine AdvocateTasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Noaillac has a clean and ripe bouquet with ample blackberry and boysenberry fruit, a slight marine influence surfacing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with soft and supple tannin. This is very velvety in texture, almost to the point where I would have liked more reserve and a tad more dryness on the finish. This is one case where the 2014 might turn out better than its successor. Tasted September 2017. Drink Date: 2018-2027.
Wine EnthusiastThis northern Médoc estate has produced a wine that has both structure and fruit. The tannins are certainly present, giving a burnt character from the wood aging. However, black currant flavors are there as well. Put the two together as they integrate, and the wine will be juicy and attractive. Drink from 2020.
