Blend of 8 single vineyards, the Moulin-à-Vent 2016 presents a deep garnet-color. Its complex nose reveals aromas of violets, ripened red fruit and black pepper. The freshness of these granitic terroirs balances well the remarkable richness and texture. Moulin-à-Vent pairs perfectly with lighter red meat dishes.

Brilliant violet. Smoke-accented blackberry, cherry, candied licorice and a hint of violet on the perfumed nose. Lush black and blue fruit and floral pastille flavors show good, spicy lift and no rough edges. In an ample style, finishing sweet, broad and long, with building tannins and resonating floral and spice notes.

A richer style, but still fresh and focused, with plush tannins encasing raspberry filling and cherry compote notes, accented by dusty herb and licorice elements. Hints of mocha echo on the long finish. Drink now through 2024.

A rich and ripe wine that is both perfumed and structured, this shows a good balance between fruit and tannins. Aged partly in wood, the wine has a touch of spice along with the black fruits and finishing acidity. Drink from 2020.

Exhibiting an appealing bouquet of smoky raspberries and candied peel, the 2016 Moulin-à-Vent is medium to full-bodied, tangy and comparatively open-knit, only displaying some fine structuring tannins on the finish. In contrast to the generic Morgon, it's quite charming and accessible.
