Castle Rock Napa County Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Without a doubt, Napa Valley is one of the most internationally recognized wine growing regions. Several microclimates exist within the area. The southern end of the valley floor is cooler due to the proximity of San Pablo Bay, while the northern end is often much warmer and the eastern side of the valley tends to be more arid. The soil in this AVA is also varied. In the southern portion it's mainly sediments deposited by San Pablo Bay and in the north the soils consist largely of volcanic lava and ash. From the Mayacamas mountain range to the Vaca Mountains, and the valleys in between, Napa Valley AVA is vast and diverse. Its unique location has proven to produce some the most important wines of the world.
