Limerick Lane Russian River Valley Zinfandel 2016
|Region||California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley|
With a healthy, welcoming intrigue of spice, this estate-grown wine is dusty and leathery in approach and texture, with lovely layers of red licorice and dark cherry. The acidity is interwoven throughout the full-bodied concentration of flavor, with a finishing touch of white pepper.
A racy red, with a deep structure and vibrant red plum, cherry and smoky cracked pepper flavors that build toward big but refined tannins. Drink now through 2025. 1,978 cases made.
Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Zinfandel Estate reveals a vivacious nose of warm redcurrants, black cherries and blackberry preserves with touches of Chinese five spice, forest floor, fertile loam and potpourri. Big, rich and full-bodied with a firm frame of chewy tannins and a lively acid line, it finishes very long and very spicy. 1,869 cases produced.
