Small Gully Mr. Black's Little Book Shiraz 2016
|Region||Australia, South Australia, Barossa Valley|
This is a medium-bodied Shiraz with a fragrant nose of blueberries, plums, red berries, florals, chocolate, vanilla and toasted coconut. The palate is silky in texture but a little warm alcohol-wise. Ripe, almost confected fruit and structured tannins find balance together. A likable, straightforward bottling.
Loaded up with toasty, cedary oak, the 2016 Mr Black's Little Book Shiraz is a full-bodied, traditionally styled South Australian Shiraz-creamy, supple and dark fruited. It's not particularly complex, but it scratches the itch for big, bold oak and fruit.
